We managed to sneak a few of the kids away for a mini-vacation. Shortly after out-of-province travel was allowed, I packed up the truck and brought four of our kids to Sitmonchai. Boom stayed back to keep the gym running and to take care of the other kids and our animals.
We’ve been going to Sitmonchai for over four years now, so the people there are like family. For the kids who have been there before, there is a familiarity that allows them to kick back and relax. Kru San was also fawning over how well both Bpaet and Men were doing and reminded them to stay focused. As for the first-timers, it is always an incredibly eye-opening experience. It is a first-hand example of endless opportunities that Muay Thai can offer, and a chance to get out of Isaan to see some of the things Thailand has to offer.
A big thank you to Abigail and Pee A for their amazing hospitality as well! One of the fighters there, and our dear friend, Thepnimit Sitmonchai has also launched a Patreon account for all things Muay Thai that you can check out down below.
